How remote delivery works
Distance is not the problem. Vagueness is.
Everything is written down. You get the scope, the price and the plan as text before anything is built, and a written update at every phase. That is not a limitation of working remotely — it is the reason remote work succeeds or fails, and most projects that go wrong went wrong in an unrecorded conversation.
You work with the same engineer from the first message until after launch. There is no account manager relaying requirements and no handover to a delivery team that was not in the original conversation.
We work in English and French, and in German in writing. Time zones inside the EU are close enough that a same-day answer is normal rather than a promise.
Why an EU-registered company matters
One legal jurisdiction
Codexo e.U. is registered in Austria. Your contract, your invoice and any dispute stay inside EU law — no offshore entity, no unclear counterparty.
Austrian invoicing and VAT
A proper VAT ID and an invoice your accountant will accept without a conversation. Reverse charge inside the EU works as it should.
GDPR is the default, not an add-on
Hosting inside the EU, no third-party trackers, and data handling designed to keep the amount of personal data small in the first place.
Your code is yours
You get the repository. Nothing is locked to a platform you cannot leave, and nothing depends on us staying available.

Common questions
What does a web application cost?
Custom applications start at €1,499 in our Build package, and the real figure depends on scope. You get a fixed price in writing before any work begins — the quote is the commitment, not an estimate that grows.
How do you scope something you have not seen?
We start with the process you run today: who does what, in what order, and where it currently breaks. That conversation produces a written scope you approve before anything is built. If the scope turns out to be wrong mid-project, we say so rather than quietly absorbing it.
Who owns the code?
You do. You get the repository and the deployment setup. We build on standard, widely used technology — no proprietary platform you would have to buy your way out of later.
What happens to our data?
Hosting is inside the EU. We design for the smallest amount of personal data that does the job, because data you do not hold is data you cannot lose. Anything involving personal data gets written down: what is stored, where, and for how long.
What if we need changes after launch?
That is what the Care package is for, from €300 per month, billed on work actually done rather than as a fixed retainer. You can also take the code and have someone else maintain it — that is the point of owning it.
